2008 saw the first Shakespeare Under The Stars since the passing of founding director, Jean-Pierre Voos.
J-P's passing was a huge blow to the company, but also created a steely determination his legacy should continue.
Love's Labour's Lost was a homage to J-P with a distinctive French flavour. The messenger bringing news of the King's death held special significance for cast & audience alike.
|
Original company member, Brendan O'Connor, now a well-known face from television, made a welcome return to the outdoor stage and many Shakey Bill regulars rallied to support the event and director, Terri Brabon.
The success of the show was a testament to the support network of Shakespeare Under The Stars and in particular that of Terri's family and friends, who went above & beyond at a very difficult time.
